Telkom Foundation

Telkom Foundation was registered as a Trust in 2002 and seeks to make a meaningful contribution to communities mainly through education. In 2011, the foundation reviewed its strategy and decided on the following:

  1. Support primary institutions in their ability to provide a foundation for producing maths, science and technology students through numeracy and literature programmes.
  2. Support secondary and tertiary educational institutions in their ability to produce maths, science and technology graduates with entrepreneurial ability.
  3. Support small business development initiatives in the ICT sector, within which competent individuals can become economically active.
  4. Support identified crisis appeals (Blue Flag emergencies) in South Africa and Africa.

We are going to make it happen by concentrating on four key strategic objectives:

  • To build strong and sustainable partnerships
  • To strengthen the Foundation
  • Clearly understand the environment in which we work
  • Enhance our capacity to deliver
